YES - that would be the Pan Woods from the Firebringer Trilogy by Meredith Ann Pierce
NO - it is NOT Jan, it is my own charachter called Storm (mare, don't be presumptious)
NO - she is not black, she is a dappled seal bay with paler tender areas, extending on her barrel. And yeah, her eyes are silver, deal.

omg, Los, this is fucking awesome.

-jealous- I wish I could do that >> I love how the background is so soft and quiet in both appearance, color, and contrast - it makes the unicorn just pop out. Your eyes are actually divided between the log (which has amazing detail) and the unicorn itself. Totally inspiring as well.
