Art trade with ~rewston Yeah I know, I'm just spitting artwork ain't I? Well, what can I say, I found a goos working rythm. Won't last much longer though, musn't overwork myself!
Anyhoo, this is ~rewstons character Tenual. For the pose I used a reference pic. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. The background though...*shrug* It's okay I suppose. Any ideas on what I could do to improove it?

Woah!!!!!! The rain is totally awesome!!!! I'm sure Katy'll love it!!!!! Improvements? Well......It too me a while to find one.... But, seeing as it's raining, maybe the mane and tail should by more 'stingy' and less fluid as the hairs are soaked with rain....hope it helps!!!!

'Aljan, my foolish colt. Did you really think I'd let you drown?'
LOL.. yes, I was just about to say that. Whoa girl.. you really have been shooting us with art this week!
Um... I just have a couple things to say about this pic. I can't seem to figure out it's hind legs unfortunately.. they just seem way too black to see which one is in front of another.
As for the BG, this would be great if Tenual was on the shore of some body of water. If he was in a puddle or something, prehaps some more BG elements to explain that a bit better.. it just seems to be one big layer of texture that goes kinda flat as you go in the distance. But this is just my opinion.
Don't get me wrong though! The horse kicks ass, as does the BG, it's just those two things I'm iffy about.

Gah, will you stop making all these amazing works of art? You're spamming my favourites!
As always, stunning work! ~rewston is very lucky, hehe! I love Tenual... it looks like he has such power in him with all those pretty muscles. Love the rain, too! I like the watery bg, the only thing I would change would be the drops in the water. They're great, I don't know how you did them all without combusting! But they look a teensy bit too defined... maybe it you made them a little blurrier or a little transparent? Though, it looks wonderful the way it is.
I was thinking I could make it more kind of march like, with some floating grass patches? If I'm gonna make it a shore, I think I'll have to add that in the top of the image for it to work.
And as for the dark leg. I've been tuning it back and forth, and I probably made him a bit too blakc in the end! But then again, I still see the elsg pretty good,. I can think of two reasons. Either my computer is brighter set then yours, or, I know the image so well I don't relly "see" that you can't see the back legs very good! *grin* But I think I probably made the image to dark!
