Ok, so here he is, all finished. I've completely redone his mane and tale, don't know if it's for better or worse (hopes for better).

As for the background... I went with my original idea - I wasn't all happy about making some kind of dark gloomy background, I was after something else - something with crisp colors, with alot of space and contrasts. But thanks to everyone for bringing me their ideas i really appreciate it, you inspire more for future themes and backgrounds! * everyone*

And about the clouds... I might go back and go over them onece more to smooth them out a bit, take awat thet "brush" look they have now in teh full view. I just had enough it now, when the computer died on me - lucky I had saved it this way before it did though!

I was trying to get a dew effect on the grass, with some splatter around his hooves, but it didn't work out too great. Any thoughts on making dew for the future?
And personally, I think the whole blue eyes/blue sky thing worked out nicely! For those of you who thinks he's too dark - first off, he's suppoed to be pretty dark - second, he's not all THAT dark on my screen, I see the details in his face perfectly - remember that screen setting will sometimes get the best of an image! *grin*
