Lay down,
your sweet and weary head.
Night is falling.
You have come to journey’s end.

Sleep now,and dream
of the ones who came before.
They are calling,
from across the distant shore.

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see.
All of your fears will pass away.
Safe in my arms,
you’re only sleeping.

What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.

And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
All souls pass.

Hope fades,
Into the world of night.
Through shadows falling,
Out of memory and time.

Don’t say,
We have come now to the end.
White shores are calling.
You and I will meet again.
And you’ll be here in my arms,
Just sleeping.

What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.

And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
Grey ships pass
Into the West.

I was commisioned to do this piece by *BlueFlyer. In real life, she was a friend of my one of my most beloved online friends, ~Luckys-Lady
It has been a great honor to make this piece, with ~Luckys-Ladys title character Atlanta in the center, and her favorites of my own characters with her.

It's been a very emotional piece for me to make, and instead of feeling sad that she is gone, I've felt happy, hoping that she has seen my efforts from wherever she is now, and I take pride in what I've accomplished, all in her honor. Thank you *BlueFlyer, for giving me the oppurtunity to make this piece of art.

I love the contrasts between the unicorns - while yours all look solidly real and alive, Atlanta looks ethereal - more than alive. They are all so majestic.
Ooooo, the streaks of rain in the background are a very good touch.

Very nice work. :) You know what I love about it the most? You portrayed the weather perfectly. I can almost feel the wind blowing. This is a very immersive picture. The unicorns are beautiful. Great job. :D

That's really beautiful. It's like there's a storm in the background, but they're safe now that they're together and home.
Beautiful.
